Great photo collection- dig the one of Pigpen goosin Janis about 1:16 in

No date given on performance- Pigpen does a little repeating of the 'run run Rudolph chorus at the end'
There are only a handful of performances so a date for this should be pretty easy to figure?

"run like a son of a gun"
Listen to how sweet is PIG's coda / ending vocal.

I always get a smile with the "son of a gun" . I miss all those quaint swearing expressions .

Hey Dudley D.
My favorite line in Run Rudolph is:
"whizzing like a Saber jet"

I always like that line also . (switch to military history documentary voice ) the F-86 Saber had an operational history ....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_F-86_Saber
I like that fact that the last operational ones were retired in 94, in the Bolivian Air Force (!) . By the time the song was written, it was nearing its end in into USAF .
I recall that when Keith Richards recorded it, in 78, he changed it to "Phantom Jet" , Which are still in use some places in the world . But I like the historical detail of the "Saber" . Also the Saber is the #1 aircraft thrown at the classic 50's >mid 60's Japanese monster movies, replaced by the F-104s later in the decade .
Hows that for a geek-out !

Hey Dudley D;
Many of the classic Korean War movies also have Saber jets in action.

12/7/71. Great soundboard, crisp rock 'n roll playing throughout, but no DS or PITB. I love the one and only GD Christmas song!

Merry Christmas all!
